Apocalyptic

A tour de force even in the noughties. A young Martin Sheen shows flashes of his acting ability while Brando is mesmerising in the few scenes he is in. It is the countryside that steals the limelight here. Eerie, beautuiful, disconcerting all rolled into one. War at it's unglorified worst.
A lunatic's vision of the lunacy of war

It's a bit of a disjointed mess, but that kind of adds to its appeal. Despite its flaws, brilliant individual performances from Duval, Hopper, Brando et al. make this movie. As a comentary on the lunacy of war, Apocalypse Now is peerless.
Just wow.

This is a movie that will move some and leave others unimpressed. I was gobsmacked to see a lanky Harrison Ford, and young Sean Connery. Marlon Brando's part was short but to the point. I would recommend this movie but not to everyone.
brilliant
