Grace, yes, but not Amazing

This is an interesting historical account - though I can't vouch for its accuracy. Good costumes, good acting, in fact a good all round period piece - but it did lack something. The emotive value of this particular subject matter should leave you feeling like you've been punched in the gut, but this film never made the most of its opportunities. Entertaining, watchable, but soon forgotten. Oh, and the schmultzy 20th century bagpipes at the end should have been left on the cutting room floor!

Something we should all warch

An amazing story of how Lord Wilbeforce helped the end of slavery in the commonwealth. Good acting, great cast and a fascinating story of how a quirky young friend of the youngest prime minister ever in the UK, transformed the minds of cynical front and back benchers who were vested in the abuse of vulnerable africans. Ironic how true the story is today in relation to cheap and slave labour across the globe. The people of the day stopped taking sugar in their tea as a repost, for us.........

AMAZING GRACE

Don't bother. Ihad been waiting for this dvd for months and couldn't wait to watch it. While the true story behind the film was very sad and some parts of the movie upsetting I would be pushed to recommend this dvd.
Amazing Gace
