Avoid

I watched this film with an open mind having only seen the Screenclick members' reviews after noticing that it had already been dispatched to me. Sometimes a film, from which you were expecting very little, actually surprises you and isn't that bad. But not this one. This was very poor stuff. Below par acting, a terrible script and even worse plot. Wait for it to come out on TV in about 50 years when you're old and grey with a few marbles running around upstairs. Maybe then it will seem alright

Not the best

Presumably the only reason you'd want to watch this is if, like me, you've an interest in poker. Well, most of the poker scenes are pretty ridiculous and the lead character, played by Dominique Swain, seems to rely more on luck than skill or bluffing to win her games.
The script is dodgy, with some pretty unbelievable characters. Still, fans of Michael Madsen may be interested to see him being less of a tough guy than usual.
Ultimately, maybe poker just isn't a good subject for a movie.

I cannot believe a movie that I switched off!

This is a terrible thing for me to admit, I found it so bad that I turned the DVD off. Crass, worse than High School Musical, painful, stupid, I love Poker, but this was so bad, so simple, so mundane, so achingly awful, that I just pressed eject. Sorry, I must no longer be a watch any move person anymore.
All in not what you expect from Mr Madson

This movie was so bad I could not watch it all, the acting was ham, the part played by Michael was not present for very much, it was more like a daytime soap then a movie
Very vert bad

OMG pure and utter ****. Acting is brutal and the storyline is so bad and has very little to do with poker which was the main reason I rented this film. To be avoided at all costs.
