Quirky little movie

I really enjoyed this. Reckon its one for the girls more so than the boys. Details strong womens' struggles through various heart-aches in their lives. Complete with drag queens. Definitely something a bit different. You should rent A Street Car Named Desire along with this as you'll want to watch that straight after - I did anyway :)
The Ultimate Celebration of Feminity

A clever take on various aspects of womanhood. Traversing themes such as motherhood, gender crossing, celibacy, performance and identity, effortlessly. Thoroughly enjoyable. Excellent! Cannot believe I haven't seen this until now.
Worth watching if you are an Almodovar fan

In the same style as his other movies, but I don't think it is as good as Talk to Her, Bad education or Volver. Worth seeing if you are a fan, but really the other movies are a different league.
one of his best

I'd recommend this as a really good introduction to Almodovar. Lovely performances as usual from his cast and a nice glimpse of Penelope Cruz from her pre-Hollywood career.
loved it

Certainly a grim tale, but so lovingly and colourfly shot, much like Happiness, that you can just about make it to the end.
