Unremittingly bleak

A very bleak film about life in Korea in the 1970's. It seems that every character in the film is undergoing some sort of trauma, with no 'normal' or well-adjusted characters, and so they become unbelievable. I often enjoy dark, films, but this film seems to have little other purpose or meaning. And the American actors are very poor.
