4 out of 10 Not one for Bord Failte
Brock from Limerick, 11 May 2010
Whoever classed this in the catergory of "comedy" needs their head not only read but removed and possibly not handed back to them.... Whilst there are mild comedic moments in this, it is more on the despeartion of the characters than anything else. Here we see possibly the finest portrayal of the lowest of the low, the ones on the bottom rung, the forgotten and abandonned few whose search for a hit far outweighs their desire to live. It really is quite a tender - yet at times - harrowing film. D

5 out of 10 Adam & Paul
Emma from Meath, 13 Jun 2007
This is a touching and frank portrayal of a day in the life of 2 Dublin junkies and their modern day "odessy" around Dublin. There are some bittersweet moments of comedy that come from tragedy in it's rawest form with both of the lead actors turning in excellent performances as the down and out Adam and Paul. It's hard not to empathise with them as they struggle to find their next fix. This is a story that will stay with you.

3.5 out of 10 Funny and affecting
Seana from Dublin, 16 Jul 2008
Well drawn characters with great acting from Mark O'Halloran and particularly the late Tom Murphy. It would have been very easy to just laugh at these characters, but with just the right amount of pathos, it's carried off, and is very funny.

4.5 out of 10 Dark Humour Required
colin from Dublin, 23 Oct 2008
Excellent film. Realistic view of a day in the life of two Dublin heroin addicts. I can only imagine that the people who gave a bad review, did so because they were expecting Trainspotting. Trainspotting it ain't, It's far more.

2.5 out of 10 Poignant
Ciaran from Galway, 20 Feb 2008
Slow moving and bleak flick about drug addicts. Some humour but rambling plot and bleak realism hardly makes for a popcorn movie experience! Might be one for the depressed just to see how badly off things could be.

What's it about....
A stylized, downbeat comedy, the film follows the pair through a single day, which, like every other, is entirely devoted to the business of scrounging and robbing money for drugs. The difference today is that Adam and Paul – already near rock bottom – have finally run out of luck, credit and friends.
