5 out of 10 True Horror
Jeff from Kildare, 26 Mar 2009
This movie is the best horror film I've seen. I've seen a LOT. The atmosphere is so dark and uneasy. It literally has your skin crawling. The intricacies of the plot take time to unwind and the movie isn't meant to make sense for the first half, but it all comes together in the end with a few engaging twists. Not really recommended for the kids who like jumps and cheap shocks [tho there are a few good ones!] but this movie is horror on a much more terrifying atmospheric level.

0.5 out of 10 Why did this get a good review?
Eleanor from Kildare, 24 Jan 2011
I dont understand it. Was I watching a different film the the other reviewers? My one and only reason to rent this movie was the great reviews but I was so disappointed. This movie was slow, not scary and of course having to read the sub titles. Do not waste your 2 hours on this rubbish.

4 out of 10 Very stylish chills
Philip from Dublin, 14 Aug 2011
This isn't a conventional horror in many ways - it is weird and mysterious and very stylishly made. It can be a little hard to follow at times (or at least I struggled occasionally). But its still head and shoulders above most Hollywood equivalents.

4.5 out of 10 Wonderful
Brenda from Dublin, 03 Jul 2007
This has the usual confusion that comes with watching something of the Asian horror genre, but well worth it. This should be a must for anyone who enjoys a good scary story but can't bear the Hollywood slasher style.

5 out of 10 Excellent
Damien from Dublin, 10 Apr 2010
Brillant film, really enjoyed it.. excellent plot and screenplay, quite scary, vivid colours, delightfully confusing (though everything makes sense in the end). Would definitly recommend it.

What's it about....
When sisters Su-mi (Lim Soo-jeong) and Su-yeon (Mun Geun-yeong) return home from a sanitarium having supposedly recovered their health, their stepmother Eun-joo (Yum Jung-ah) welcomes them back. However, elder sister Su-mi intentionally avoids her and younger sibling Su-yeon shows a smack of fear for her. Soon, strange things begin to happen in the house. Footsteps are heard and Eun-joo's birds are mysteriously poisoned. Assuming Su-yeon is behind the inauspicious incidents,...
