Grim, but magnificent film making

A true classic of European film making, this is not easy viewing. It follows a lost and disoriented young man as he plots a motiveless murder of an unpleasant taxi driver, and then sees how the wheels of 'justice' moves. Its not a simple film - none of the characters are particularly sympathetic, but neither are they beyond help or redemption either. The film is superbly made, as you'd expect, and its well worth your while, just don't expect easy entertainment.

This film is not for everyone, but I quite enjoyed it. It is very different more to be watched for the shock value (the killing is really quite clinical & gruesome) and the 'arty' way in which the camera work is done. Not for you if you are looking for an entertaining 90 mins but if you're in the market for s'thing different, this could be it.

I wasted my Saturday afternoon watching this movie. The movie deals with murder and capital punishment in Poland (bleak-to say the least) and is quite graphic in parts. In essence is does exactly what is says on the tin-a short film about killing. The director also uses a dark filter-which will encourage you to adjust your TV brightness.

Very good if you're in the right frame of mind. Gritty but I found the camera filter effect nice instead of ugly. Don't see how it should really change anyone's opinion on capital punishment despite what reviewers say

Was hard to follow as subtitles were going so fast, slow for the action to start. Didnt really enjoy this film, i wouldnt even rate it it was so bad
