2.5 out of 10 Very violent and fast
Maggie from Mayo, 23 Dec 2007
If you like action, kung-fu, blood, torture and beatings, car chases etc. then you'll like this. Otherwise there's not much to it. Typical gangster movie. They try to make the character a bit likeable but you never really feel for him. He's just a thug despite the nice suits and odd bit of compassion for the mini-skirted girly. Foreign film with subtitles.

3.5 out of 10 Enjoyable
Linda from Wexford, 13 Mar 2010
My first foray into Korean movies so I'm far from an expert! I enjoyed this movie, gripping storyline, well acted. The lead plays his role well as the cool, seemingly emotionally detached gangster whose mask conveniently hides all those emotions bubbling under the surface. Definitely different!

3 out of 10 Solid revenge flick
Philip from Dublin, 12 Jun 2007
I get the feeling that the story was written to fit around the fight scenes rather than fight scenes created to tell the story. Either way this is a very stylish if limited film.

4.5 out of 10 Very Stylish
Orla from Cork, 23 Dec 2009
Gripping from the start and beautifully shot. A good story, cracking action scenes and as good a far eastern crime movie as there has been for a couple of years.

What's it about....
Coining the new term 'action noir' in Korea, director Kim Ji-woon follows up his extraordinary features A Quiet Family and A Tale Of Two Sisters with this blackly comic thriller. Lee Byeong-heon stars as Sun-woo, a unique character with a curious lifestyle; he's not only a valued gang member and the proprietor of a hotel bar but also the right-hand man to the powerful gang leader, Mr. Kang (Kim Yeong-chul). When Kang suspects that his beautiful young mistress Hee-soo (Shin...
